Dos Santos, a 29-year-old Canadian, cofounded Stromcore Energy five years ago to supply lithium-ion batteries for heavy-duty electric vehicles. Dos Santos, the company's chief technology officer, and his cofounder, who is over 30, developed a battery pack for use in forklifts that can be fully recharged in less than an hour and last for a decade. He projects sales will reach $20 million this fiscal year which started August 31, helped by customers that include Ford, GE and Whirlpool.
